A special thank you is sent to Kim who prepared Charlyne Cares while I was in Tulsa. Kim, thank you for allowing the Lord to use your spiritual gift. You are a gift from God to this ministry.

Don't Ever Give Up - Just Pray!

"Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up." Luke 18:1

I am home from Tulsa, OK. Tim, our son and I had a very blessed time meeting many new standers. I also was hugging standers who I have not seen for quite some time. Oh, I hope you watched the whole Covenant Keeper's conference which was live by streaming.

I also know that you may have not been able to view the conference due to your personal schedule. I must tell you what happened at the conference. The conference started on Thursday evening and I spoke first and did a teaching titled, "Called According To His Purpose." Saturday morning I spoke again titled, "Don't Ever Give Up - Just Pray!" My teaching was taken from Luke 18. The second speaker who was going to speak Saturday evening leaned over to Tim and said, "Your mom just used my scripture." He had a powerful teaching on Luke 18:1-8 saying that the enemy keeps telling lies to you or I saying, "No justice for you!" Sunday morning we heard another speaker who arrived late Saturday night. The pastor got up, started his sermon and then in a few minutes asked us to turn to Luke 18!

I always worry about using a scripture too frequently, but not anymore! The Lord had one passage from Luke 18:1-8 taught three times within twenty-four hours. Coincidence? Never! I was praising the Lord that I knew that the Holy Spirit spoke to each of us and we were listening and obedient in teaching the Lord's message. Now the question is, "Will you be obedient to doing what the parable said? Will we put aside all our feelings and emotions, always praying and never giving up? What do you think God was telling all the standers that were at the conference and all the standers watching the conference by streaming?

I found out  throughout the rest of the weekend that many standers had stopped praying or were not earnestly, fervently praying as if they were in a war. Satan wants everyone to stop praying because there is power in prayer. Do you believe it now? I also must mention that on Friday afternoon they had a special teaching from their prayer intercessors called, "A Call To Prayer." One of the men who is a stander is in the military and he dressed up and explained why everyone needs to put on the Armor of God daily as we are in God's Army. He then went into detail the purpose of each piece of the Armor of God.

Let me have you read the parable that I am talking about in Luke 18:1-8:

"Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. He said: "In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared about men. And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.' "For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don't fear God or care about men, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won't eventually wear me out with her coming!' " And the Lord said, "Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"

I love to teach about the persistent widow and the evil judge in Luke 18. Jesus was telling His disciples a parable to show them they should always pray and not give up. What a statement from our Lord for you and I to believe. We also need to pray specifically, with perseverance and tenacity. Well, where are you in your prayer life? Has praying become harder to do? Let me share another scripture that teaches us that we need to pray all the time. Just talk to the Lord throughout your day.

"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." I Thessalonians 5:16-18

This parable is about the persistent widow going to an unjust judge asking him to "grant her justice against her adversary." The judge finally agreed because she kept bothering him. What a powerful lesson from the Lord! Never stop praying and going to the Lord for your little problems and your big problems. He cares and will bring justice to you, if you never stop praying or give up!

Oh, dear stander, have faith in your Lord that He wants the best for you! Your Lord is right there beside you. Trust Him with your life, with your marriage and with your beloved husband or wife. Are you interceding for your marriage and for all marriages around the world? Are you praying for all the wounded hurting children of all ages? Many children do not hear or see their other parent regularly. Become a prayer warrior fighting for the sanctity of marriage. The enemy is deceiving the world saying that marriages are disposable. Will you stand up for the righteousness and holiness of God? Do you hate sin, but love the sinner? Will you pray for all prodigals to repent and turn from their sinful nature? Your Lord can restore and rebuild your marriage in His perfect timing!

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened." Matthew 7:7-8

I pray that you will read this parable more than once this week, so that it is burned into your heart and mind. Remember, what happened last weekend, three different speakers speaking on the same passage. Never stop praying, asking and seeking the Lord. May you be encouraged with a tenacious spirit to never give up on your beloved spouse or prodigal children or lost loved ones! The angels in Heaven will be shouting praises when your spouse and others are set free from satan's prison!

"..Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep. I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent." Luke 15:6b-7

Start praying,

A Note From Bob -

While my wife was in Tulsa I was at home keeping things running on the ministry front. Over the weekend we received a check that was numbered 0100 but did not have any identification printed on it. The signature was not recognizable. We thank God for that check and would appreciate hearing from the person who sent it to the Ministry. Thanks for your help.
