The Fellowship of Christ

"How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron's beard, down upon the collar of his robes. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the LORD bestows his blessing, even life forevermore."  Psalm 133:103

I'm sure that one of the best things Charlyne will take away from this conference is the chance to fellowship with other Christians and other believers who are standing and declaring to the world that "Families Are Forever." As they attend worship services today, they will be praising a God who believes in the covenant of marriage and the sanctity of the family; a God who can and will heal hurting and dead marriages.

As you go to worship this weekend, let's join with the believers in Tulsa and say to the Lord, "Families Are Forever." Let's stand and agree with them that the Lord wants all family members saved and that nothing is too hard for Him to do. Let's praise Him for the promises He has made to us, the guidance He has offered, and the hope He has shown. Let's thank Him that He is in control of all the details of our lives and that what we have offered to Him will be returned to us in abundance.

"Return to your fortress, O prisoners of hope; even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you." Zechariah 9:12

"Instead of their shame my people will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace they will rejoice in their inheritance; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land, and everlasting joy will be theirs." Isaiah 61:7

"I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten-the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm-my great army that I sent among you. You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, and you will praise the name of the LORD your God, who has worked wonders for you; never again will my people be shamed." Joel 2:25-26

Let's join with other Christians around the world and praise the Lord for all He has done, is doing, and will do in our lives and the lives of the ones we pray for. Let's pray that the men of God will have a burden to speak about the sanctity of marriages and families this weekend. Let's pray that our loved one will be sitting in a pew this weekend with ears finally ready to hear and a heart finally ready to follow. Let's pray that the Lord will lay His healing hand on their hearts and fill that hole they have in their lives.

"I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh. Then they will follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. They will be my people, and I will be their God." Ezekiel 11:19-20

As we go to worship and praise our Lord this weekend, we can draw comfort from the knowledge that there are others around our state, our nation, and our world who are crying out to God on behalf of families. Jesus has told us that wherever two or more are gathered in His name, there He will be. Let's draw strength from our fellowship with other believers and our knowledge that God's people, united in prayer, can do mighty things.

"Lord Jesus, thank You for the love You have poured into our hearts. Thank You that You hear the cries of Your people and that the answer is, even now, on the way. You are the God who calls things that are not as though they were and we believe that nothing, absolutely nothing, is impossible for You. Lord, touch and heal our hurting hearts, our hurting children, and our hurting families. Thank You that all things are possible with You. Thank You for loving us so that we may pour out this love to others. We praise You, we bless You, we worship You. In Jesus' mighty, precious and powerful name we pray. Amen."

"Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." Colossians 3:15-17
