Saturday Testimonies
"Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Amen and Amen." Psalm 41:13
On Saturdays we share excerpts from a few testimonies we have received during the past week. These are not intended to be examples of what God wants, but to show you that He heals hurting and dead marriages, regardless of the circumstances.
Look what the Lord has done -
"My husband said he still wanted to go ahead with a divorce. The Lord reminded me that I had been praying for this opportunity. He opened the door to tell my husband about standing and the importance of marriage. That seed has been planted, praise the Lord."
(Florida)
"I had not seen my wife and kids in a month due to a protective order. I asked God one morning to please help me see them. My attorney called minutes later to let me know our hearing was set for days later. A trial had just canceled and they gave us that date. To God be the glory."
(Arkansas)
"The Lord told me to fast today and I spent all day with Him. I asked my kids if they wanted to drive and get some air. As I was driving I was thinking how the Lord could make it possible for my husband and me to fall in love again. I saw a fireworks display in the sky. The Lord was telling me that there could be fireworks again in my marriage. Thank You, Lord."
(Virginia)
"My prodigal has now been in touch with me every day for several weeks. He told me he misses me and our home and he knows I am praying. He also told me he loves me and he can not erase me from his life. He asked me to keep praying. I know through prayer, God's Word and constant confirmations that He will indeed have the last say."
(United Kingdom)
"I just wanted to touch base to let you know that my husband has been home for several years. God is a mighty good God. Thanks for your ministry and your faithfulness. Our son is now fourteen years old and while he was only seven when his dad left, his faith was enhanced in our stand for the Lord."
(Georgia)
"After years of standing and praying, I finally understood what it means to abandon your spouse to the Lord. I have given my spouse to Him, the feeling of peace and comfort that I now have is like nothing I have ever experienced. I know that it will take time for my prodigal to be ready to come home but I can wait in the Lord and be strong as He is my husband for this season and provides for me. Praise God."
(Florida)
"On Father's Day I was doubting my stand and praying for a sign from the Lord. Twenty minutes later in church our pastor's sermon was on the Prodigal Son. I had my confirmation I was being obedient to His Word. God always gives us what we need when we need it. Praise Him."
(Tennessee)
"Although my husband divorced me last year, over the past couple of months we have been growing closer. I decided to fast leading up to our wedding anniversary. I wasn't sure what to expect but prayed and was looking forward to this day with great expectation. God showed how wonderful He is by having my husband call me to say Happy Anniversary. I give God the Glory."
(Georgia)
"The Lord has been sending me encouraging messages lately. My sister and her husband celebrated their wedding anniversary by renewing their vows and then the children had a reception. A slide show of pictures from their lives together was shown. In the midst of the pictures was a picture from my wedding."
(Vermont)
"I turned in my seminary paperwork on Wednesday afternoon. I prayed if I should place my status as married and God led me to use married on the paperwork. Our divorce was granted the same day. God works all things for good for those who are called according to His purpose."
(Florida)
"My husband was involved with drugs and another woman and I wanted out. I began to pray for him. Months later he showed up at my door asking for help. Later he was accepted into Teen Challenge where he has been in recent months. God is restoring our marriage with Him as our rock. He is taking back what satan tried to steal."
(Kansas)
"We are selling our home and had a contract but were waiting for the bank to approve. Our realtor told my spouse not to file for divorce until the house sells so there are not legal issues to disrupt the sale. This week the buyers decided to walk. This means it will take longer until my spouse can file. God is at work even thought my spouse doesn't know it. I gave the house and everything to God and I am waiting for His will to be done."
(Tennessee)
"I had been asking God to open the doors of communication between me and my spouse. I was placed in a situation where I ran into my spouse. The next day he contacted me. He said he will be contacting me soon so that we can set up time to see one another. This is all in line with what the Holy Spirit spoke to me. God is faithful and His timing is perfect."
(Virginia)
"Last month my husband decided to seek help for his addiction. Yesterday I took him to a rehab center for drugs and alcohol. He will be gone for six weeks. I praise God for His faithfulness. I continue to be a Proverbs 31 wife, seeking the Lord through it all, turning only to Him for my strength and peace."
(Canada)
"But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness." James 3:17-18
