Saturday Testimonies

"Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth. Sing to the Lord, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods." Psalm 96:1-4

On Saturdays we share excerpts from a few testimonies we have received during the past week. These are not intended to be examples of what God wants, but to show you that He heals hurting and dead marriages, regardless of the circumstances.

Look what the Lord has done:

"All of a sudden my car started experiencing problems with steering and indicators lit up my dashboard. I called my husband to tell him that I was having car trouble. He was in the parking lot of the drugstore where I pulled in. God is at work." (New York)

"My husband went on a business trip out of the country. Before he left he sent me a text that he will miss all of us. The night before he left he hugged me and for the first time in a long time said he loved me. Praise be to God for softening his heart." (Texas)

"My wife and I are still separated. However, we are getting along better now than we have been in recent years, all for the glory of God." (Pennsylvania)

"My sister, who recently started supporting my stand, returned from a trip. She called and said she needed me to see something. When I got to her house she handed me a picture that she had taken of a car parked in New Jersey. Its license plate said 'Standing.' I wondered if the car belongs to a fellow stander." (South Carolina)

"One of my prodigals has returned. My estranged son recently invited me to visit him and his new wife. I was warmly received and later he asked me to forgive him for all that he had done against me and especially for not allowing me to attend his wedding. My heart overflowed with love as I hugged and kissed him and told him all was forgiven. Praise the Lord." (United Kingdom)

"Praise God, my husband stopped the court case that he filed against me. He wanted a lot of money from me for settlement of property. He was angry with me when he left. This is the first miracle that I have seen. My husband and his lawyer have been on my back for nearly a year. Now it has all stopped, God is at work, I wonder what He will do next?" (New Zealand)

"My prodigal left years ago. I was a stander but turned away from God and the things I knew. Recently my prodigal contacted me to see if we can work things out. He and I will be seeing each other in two weeks. I have made a grave mistake and feel like Jonah in the Bible. The man I loved and waited for is at my door step and I am in sin. Sunday I will return to church looking for God’s forgiveness. Pray and live your life according to God and not what people say. I may have lost the chance of a restored marriage." (Florida)

"All praise to God. It has been years (the day we signed the divorce papers) since my wife has contacted me in any way. After reading of other standers who have asked God to lead their prodigal to contact them, it seemed that God would have me do this also. Today I received an email from her. God is faithful. He's provided for my every need. I rejoice that we have such a marvelous and loving Savior." (Oregon)

"God arranged a very unique moment where I met the other person for the first time. We talked for several minutes where I was given supernatural strength to show grace, forgiveness, respect and love. My spouse later thanked me for the way I handled the situation. It would have been impossible without the Holy Spirit. Praise to God for what He is doing in my life and in each of theirs." (South Carolina)

"My heart is overwhelmed right now. I just finished reading today's devotional, 'With God All Things Are Possible' and I received my answer regarding divorce. I was contemplating divorcing my spouse and had prayed to God on what to do. I received my answer today. 'God hates divorce. Stand firm waiting for your miracle.' God hears, sees and cares and I am so glad that He has left a remnant to declare His power, love and truth." (Georgia)

"When I was down and needed to hear from God I received an email from Rejoice Marriage Ministries that I was being prayed for. Thank you for allowing God to use you to encourage me that all is well." (Norway)

"I have cried out for the Lord to please give me more signs that this is what He wants me to do and not just me imagining that I should stand. Praise God, in today's 'Charlyne Cares' (7th July) 'You must be self-sufficient when your spouse comes home so you can talk and listen to the Lord personally.' God answered this prayer and in His faithfulness has shown me I need to make more time for Bible study." (United Kingdom)

"Halleluyah!(sp) My husband has cancelled the divorce after one year of no communication and court battles. Suddenly he wants his family back. Praise God for He is mighty. Thank you, Charlyne and Bob. Your daily 'Charlyne Cares' email helped me a lot." (Austria)

"Without the guidance of this ministry, I do not believe my marriage would have been restored. When my husband turned his heart to God, he realized he and the other woman were unequally yoked. God first cleansed me and then He did the rest. It was suddenly and unexpected, but God was right on time. My husband had not made any contact with me for almost two years and my marriage was a dead corpse. When my husband came home the other woman came home with him, emotionally. I have said nothing, except to suggest that we pray for her salvation. I will always love and support this ministry." (South Carolina)

A PS from Pompano - This wise stander understood that after her husband came home he would go through a grief process in getting over the other person, as we have written and taught about. Prodigals do not come home with amnesia. Many newly restored marriages fall apart all over again because the stander is not ready for their homecoming. We have material to help you be prepared.

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14
