Let God Wipe Away Your Tears

"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." Revelation 21:4

Bob and I wish we could be with you to console and comfort you as you are crying wiping away the tears that fall from your eyes yet for another day. We know the pain that you are going through right now due to all your marriage problems. We also know that you want to believe, have hope and faith that your Lord God will go and touch your prodigal's hardened heart and restore your dead marriage soon. Nothing is too hard for our Lord God. Allow your Lord to wipe away your tears today.

Let us pray this scripture as a prayer for all prodigals to cry out to their Lord God today:

"Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you are proved right when you speak and justified when you judge." Psalm 51:1-4

Every week we hear of circumstances that seem insurmountable for standers, yet we later receive email and letters that share our Lord's powerful answers and miracles in stander's lives in reply to their cries of desperation. Your Lord does hear and see the sobbing and tears in the middle of the night or as you are driving to and from work. He knows when you wake up in the middle of the night, not knowing how to solve your financial problems.

Are you the one that is crying out due to the pain of rejection and lack of love that you are feeling or at the horrible devastating words that your spouse keeps lashing out to you verbally, in a written email or in court documents? Does your spouse now have a baby or has legalized, by man's law, their adultery? Allow your Lord to wipe away your tears today.

"...The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove the disgrace of his people from all the earth. The Lord has spoken." Isaiah 25:8

Have you ever thought about why tears are clear? If you ever accidentally cut yourself and are not careful, blood can fall onto your clothing. It would be very visible and eventually leave a stain. Yet, you can cry streams of tears, as is done often, and the evidence of your falling tears is quickly gone. Could God be assuring you that the tears you cry today will be forgotten tomorrow?

As the songwriter penned, "Tears are a language God understands."

The scriptures are rich with words about tears which include:

"...together they will go in tears to seek the Lord their God." Jeremiah 50:4

"...He will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes." Revelation 7:17

Bob and I wish we could be with you at the altar of your church this Sunday, putting our arms around your shoulders, crying out and pleading for your loved one's heart to be touched this very weekend. Today know that the Holy Spirit is right there with you to bring comfort, peace, wisdom and understanding for each tear that you cry. Allow the Lord to wipe away your tears.

Also, know that distance is not a problem with prayers. Your prayers are heard everywhere, at any time, around the world. Our Lord God moves when people pray in agreement together, so let's pray in agreement that thousands of spouses who have left home will come to their senses this very weekend repenting, crying out to their Heavenly Father and then they will return to you their beloved husband/wife. Hallelujah!

The next time that you cry, be it right now or next week, please know that your Lord Jesus cares. Jesus cried out more than once in the New Testament over His children. Allow your God to wipe away your tears.

Jesus was deeply moved and troubled when He wept with Mary and Martha. Read about the death and the resurrection of Lazarus in John 11:1-44. Yes, He knows that your marriage is dead and your marriage needs to be resurrected! He knows about all the pain that you and your children are going through. But never forget, that He is never late and always on time!

Do you have a passion about something in your life? I pray that you will have a passion for people to have strong healthy marriages and hating divorce. Bob and I have a passion for marriage restoration. We know what the Lord can do for marriages and families. We know that churches need to have a passion for lost souls and hurting and dead marriages, as the Lord can resurrect and heal them. I pray that you and I will cry out to our Lord with tears for our mighty God to break the chains of evil from all prodigal spouses around the world. May all prodigals cry out with tears to their Heavenly Father this prayer:

"Hide your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity. Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me." Psalm 51:9-10

Today may you cry out to your Lord, praising and thanking Him in advance what He is doing on the other side of your mountain of circumstances. Praise the Lord that He loves your spouse so much, that He is calling their name to rescue them from the bondages of sin in their life. Worship and praise your Lord this weekend for we serve an awesome mighty God who will defeat the enemy who is attacking, deceiving and has blinded your spouse. Wait on the Lord.

Tomorrow you may be weeping, but you will be weeping tears of joy of what the Lord has done for you, your spouse and your family.

"Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy." Psalm 126:5
