What Should I Do About My Problems?

What should I do about our marriage problems, our financial problems, and our children who are hurting so badly? Is that your heart's cry? The only person that knows the perfect answer for your problems is your Lord Jesus Christ. God does speak to you in many ways. He will speak to your spiritual heart to make you think of things that you should do. The Holy Spirit is gentle and will not rush you to make quick decisions. Our prayer for you today is that any questions that you are facing you will seek the Lord first for His perfect answer and His will.

"This is what the Lord says-your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; "I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go." Isaiah 48:17

Seek to do the Lord's will and you will have peace that is beyond understanding.

"So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened." Luke 11:9-10

There are some general concepts that may help you:

* God's will is never contrary to God's Word. The Bible must become your guide for daily living. God will not "tell you" to do anything that is against His Word, such as divorcing a covenant spouse.

* God does speak through His Word, and in many other ways. He will answer when you seek Him. Are you new to praying and hearing the Lord's voice? You can fine tune your ability to hear God by spending more time in reading His Word and just be still for a few minutes after you have prayed and listen for His soft voice while you are in His presence.

* Whenever another person tells you what you "should" do (a red- flag word with us!) it must be supported by Holy Scripture.

* Avoid taking surveys to support your actions.

God loves you and your family. Never stop seeking Him for His wisdom, guidance, direction and protection. God is in control. He knows everything. If you will learn to listen to God during these present days of crisis, you will never again be without an answer for the rest of your life. What should you do with your problems? Call on your Lord, seeking His face and His will for your life and marriage forever. His way is the only way!

"Answer me quickly, O LORD ; my spirit fails. Do not hide your face from me or I will be like those who go down to the pit. Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul. Rescue me from my enemies, O LORD, for I hide myself in you. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground. For your name's sake, O LORD , preserve my life; in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble. In your unfailing love, silence my enemies; destroy all my foes, for I am your servant." Psalm 143:7-12
