Charlyne Cares is a daily reminder that God cares and that we care about your marriage. Each morning Charlyne sends a devotional and Bob does a Prodigal Perspective on Tuesdays. These come from someone who has experienced the tragedy of divorce and the triumph of a family restored by God speaking to Charlyne's heart not to give up on their marriage after she divorced Bob.
"Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you." Isaiah 46:4
Here are excerpts from a few of the testimonies we have received in the past week, each shared with the writer's permission. These are not to tell you how to stand and what to do, but are given here to share how God moves when people are praying.
Look what the Lord has done:
"I have been standing in God's name for my marriage restoration. Last month my husband started calling more and coming to see me. We have been to dinner and the movies. I thank God that He is bringing my husband back to Himself and back to me. Standing, praying and fasting does work. God has done a remarkable work in me." (Georgia)
"My mom went to be with Jesus a few weeks ago. It seemed so hard having her gone and my husband also. I cried out to God and asked Him to help me with loneliness. I opened the Bible and got the Prodigal Son. God will stand true to His Word and return my husband to me." (Rhode Island)
"Thanks to God and your ministry my husband and I are celebrating a year since we got together after a long separation. It has been a difficult year to me since he did not come home as the man I would like him to be. Now he is attending church with me and the kids every Sunday and praying with us each morning. I am sure the Lord is doing the cleaning while I keep my lips zipped." (Mexico)
"My wife left me while I was in the military overseas. I felt led to stand for our marriage. God sent me many signs that I was doing His will. I was going to deploy again and was spending time with our daughter before leaving, staying in a hotel. My wife asked me to stay at her house my last night and she made my favorite meal. The next day when she took me to the airport, she told me she loved me. Praise God." (Korea)
"God is so good. My prodigal returned to our family. We had signed a paper agreeing to terms for my son and I to leave the state and allow my husband the freedom he felt he needed. The day I signed that paper was the day I truly released my husband and our marriage to God. By the next afternoon my husband’s heart had been broken before God." (Arizona)
"The Lord is faithful. The loan modification has been approved for my home. I told my children I was trusting God. A job came into place two months ago and now we will remain in our home. God orchestrated this to fall into place. He allowed my children to witness my prayers answered. My children are unbelievers and have been touched personally by answered prayer." (California)
"Praise God that He is working to change the heart of my spouse. On Friday, our first date anniversary, I received an email from my prodigal telling me how he would always think good things about me on that day. I had asked God that I might hear from him. To God be the glory." (Georgia)
"Discovering this ministry was so valuable to me. It was like finding a diamond in a dark, sinful world, where people are told that divorce is the only option for a wayward spouse. Thank God for your telling people the truth that marriage is for life." (Tennessee)
"We serve a mighty God. Suddenly my beloved husband stated he wanted to move back in together. We found a home that made my spouse say it was going to be our new home. We decided to apply for it, got approved and received the keys all within one week. We are spending this weekend moving our things into our new home. God has answered many prayers and brought my beloved spouse home. He is faithful to His promises. Praise the Lord." (Connecticut)
"Today God blessed me with a double blessing. I had to drop my son off early this morning. I decided to treat myself to a coffee and muffin. I went through the drive thru and as I was about to pay I was told the lady in front of me had already paid. I felt so loved by God in such a tangible way. As I was driving home I saw a sign that spoke directly to me about my husband and I and was doubly encouraged. God gave me two signs of His love and faithfulness." (Canada)
"Several months ago I went to the other woman’s house and verbally assaulted my husband. Today I went to her work and apologized for my actions. I know it was a conviction from God. I don't know what He will do with it, but I obeyed and it felt right." (Alaska)
"On my way home from work I was calling out to God for a sign that He was still working on our behalf. At that moment I saw a Covenant Transport Truck. Thank You, Jesus." (Texas)
"I am rejoicing that even though my husband filed divorce papers weeks ago, I have not received them. Praise the Lord. I realize the spiritual battle is intense but my God has a plan and so it is as good as done. Because it is written that by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony the devil is defeated. I am rejoicing in the work that is done regardless of what I see." (New Mexico)
"From the east I summon a bird of prey; from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that will I bring about; what I have planned, that will I do." Isaiah 46:11

"Praise God! My husband came home last night. The Lord has been orchestrating his return to Him for the past two weeks. Confessions have been made, hearts have been broken, and fear is being fought. His return to Christ surprised him and his return home frightens him. It is not a homecoming of banners and whistles but of silent prayers, gentle steps, and the knowledge that the battle continues. Pray that his return will not just be in body but emotionally and spiritually. Please teach standers to be prepared to accept a spouse who fights every moment to just stay in their home. The devil is trying even harder now to get him to leave again. But my Lord God has conquered and he has promised a returned spouse. Thank you for all your encouragement and prayers. I forever will be a stander for my marriage." (Oklahoma)
"A week ago I was in Florida. God told me it's time to come home from my trip and go to my wife. I called her to tell her and she told me first that she'd like to try working on us. I have learned to hear God’s voice and it's a beautiful sound." (Canada)
